Bechtel FE Sammis Bridge (EPC Contract)
Stratton, Ohio
Project involves moving the plant’s personnel parking area to a new location on the other side of a set of railroad tracks and then connecting the new lot to the plant with a pedestrian bridge. The current parking area will then be the site for a 900’ high stack to meet the Clean Air Federal Requirements. The new work will include drainage, grading, asphalt, security and the new bridge. It is a Design/Build effort for Bechtel Engineering.

Nautica Slope Stabilization
Cleveland, Ohio
A slope protection project at the Nautica Pavilion located on the west bank of the Flats which includes removing a badly deteriorated section of boardwalk, regrading the slope to rivers edge, and the placement of over 100 precast concrete units to minimize the possibility of continued erosion caused by large river vessels.

Former Steel Slitting Bldg. Demo
Cleveland, Ohio
Demolish the old Slitting Building in Slavic Village. This is the first project of the ambitious revitalization of the Slavik Village - Broadway Corridor. The project consists of the complete removal of the former Slitting Building, excavation and disposal of contaminated soil, and site preparations for future condominiums. This is one of many Great Lakes remediation projects funded by the Clean Ohio Revitalization Fund.

KB Compost Digester Concrete
Akron, Ohio
Perform the Augercast Pile Foundations and concrete work for an innovative German technology of a turnkey process that will convert biogas to electricity. Phase I includes constructing one 21’ x 70’ rectangular Primary Digester Tank with an elevated roof slab and one 60’ diameter Secondary Digester Tank, both with an assortment of block-outs and embeds. Also, involves storm re-routing, removal of 21,000 SF of 8” thick concrete pavement.

JLG Orville Test Facility
Orville, Ohio
Construct a new Test Track Facility. JLG Industries produces all wheel drive man lifts for the construction industry and the military. This test track includes a concrete performance pavement course, a figure eight oval, brake test ramps, a crosstie durability test track and a mud pit. It also includes the construction of a new foundation for a tilt platform that GLC has to move to the site from another JLG facility. This facility will be used as a proving ground for the new line up of JLG Man Lifts to be sold to the construction industry and to the military.

N-S Expansion Intermodal Yard
Maple Hts., Ohio
Project consists of creating a ½ mile expansion to the N/S Intermodal site in Maple Hts. The project will work all winter and is to be substantially completed in late summer of 2007. The work includes 100,000 CY of excavation, 20” & 9” concrete paving, 15-48” concrete sewers, 8” underdrain, and asphalt paving. New entrances, offices and security systems are also included.

Design-Build Sheetpile Barge Unloader (EPC Contract)
Stratton, Ohio
Build a barge unloading dock on the Ohio River consisting of earthwork, dredging, and construction of a sheet pile dock wall with soil anchor tiebacks. A stone ramp will allow heavy components to travel from the river across State Route 7 and enter the plant. It is a design-build effort for Bechtel Engineering.

Grand River Bridge
Painesville, Ohio
Construct a 550’ long bridge across the Grand River. The bridge will be constructed with four spans of 84” by 48” prestressed concrete beams up to 145’ long. The project also consists of drilled shafts, miscellaneous earthwork items and a stone causeway across the river.

Lakeview Bluffs Improvements
Painesville, Ohio
This project consists of excavating, placing, compacting and grading of approximately 500,000 CY of soil in preparation for a new golf course. The earth will be hauled over the Grand River on the bridge that Great Lakes is currently constructing. There is also over 20,000’ of storm sewer ranging from 8” in diameter to 30” in diameter.
